The Heavy-Duty Shield for Floors and High-Traffic Surfaces.
Kenlac Polyurethane Varnish is a premium, single-pack clear finish fortified with durable polyurethane resins. Designed for surfaces that take a beating, it cures to an incredibly hard, diamond-tough film that offers superior resistance to abrasion, foot traffic, boiling water, and household chemicals.
It is the professional’s choice for wooden floors (parquet), bar counters, dining tables, and staircases. Unlike standard varnishes, Kenlac PU provides a heat-resistant barrier that won’t easily mark from hot coffee cups or scratch from dragging chairs. It preserves the natural warmth of the wood while providing industrial-grade protection.

1. Surface Preparation (Critical)
-
Floors: Must be sanded down to bare wood. Remove all wax, polish, or oil.
-
Dust: Vacuum thoroughly and wipe with a lint-free cloth dampened with white spirit. Any dust left behind will be trapped in the finish forever.
2. Application
-
First Coat (Priming): Thin the first coat by 15-20% with White Spirit. This allows the PU to penetrate deep into the wood fibers and anchor the finish.
-
Subsequent Coats: Apply 2 to 3 coats full strength (unthinned).
3. Sanding Between Coats
-
PU varnish is hard. You must sand lightly between coats (using 400 grit paper) to scratch the surface. This mechanical “key” allows the next coat to stick to the previous one. If you don’t sand, the layers may peel apart later.
4. Drying Time
-
Avoid heavy traffic on floors for at least 24 to 48 hours.
-
Allow 7 days before placing heavy furniture or rugs to allow the resin to reach full hardness.
