Footwear demands more from an adhesive than any other application. A shoe flexes thousands of times a day, endures puddles, pavement heat, and constant impact. Standard glues crack under this pressure.
Hotbond® is different. It creates a flexible, waterproof chemical weld that moves with the material. By utilizing a Heat-Activation process, it bonds synthetic soles, leather, and PVC with a grip that is stronger than the material itself. It is the invisible strength inside Kenya’s best boots, bags, and sneakers.
Preparation
Roughen leather or rubber surfaces to open the fibers.
Application
Apply to both surfaces and let dry for 20 minutes until non-tacky.
Reactivation
Heat the dried glue to 80°C. It will turn glossy and sticky.
Bonding
Press parts together immediately with high pressure.
