The Industry Standard for Heavy-Duty Joinery and Assembly.

Kenlac Professional Super Wood Glue is a high-viscosity, general-purpose PVA adhesive trusted by carpenters across East Africa. Formulated for high bond strength and durability, it is the “workhorse” glue for furniture manufacturing, door assembly, and general woodworking.

Unlike rapid-set glues, the Professional grade offers a slightly extended open time. This allows craftsmen more time to spread adhesive over large surface areas, align complex joints, and apply clamps without the glue drying prematurely. Once cured, it forms a bond that is impact-resistant and stronger than the wood itself. It is easy to sand and paints over without staining.

Key Features:

  • Extended Open Time: Gives you more time to assemble complex joints before setting.

  • High Viscosity: Thicker consistency prevents running or dripping on vertical surfaces.

  • Impact Resistant: Cures to a tough, slightly flexible film that withstands vibration.

  • Versatile: Excellent for softwoods, hardwoods, chipboard, and blockboard.

1. Best Uses Use Kenlac Professional for:

  • Large laminations (gluing two boards face-to-face).

  • Assembling complex chairs or cabinets where you need 10 minutes to get everything square.

  • General wood repairs.

2. Application

  • Preparation: Surfaces must be smooth and flat. Wood glue does not fill gaps well; it requires wood-to-wood contact.

  • Spreading: Use a notched spreader or brush. Ensure total coverage on both surfaces for hardwoods.

3. Clamping

  • Apply pressure using G-clamps or sash clamps.

  • Tip: If glue squeezes out in small beads, you have used the right amount. If nothing comes out, you used too little. If it runs down the side, you used too much.

4. Drying

  • Keep clamped for at least 2 to 3 hours.

  • For heavy structural joints (like door frames), it is best to leave clamps on overnight.

5. Finishing

  • Excess glue can be wiped with a damp cloth while wet.

  • Once dry, it must be sanded off before staining, as wood stain will not penetrate through dried glue.
