The Fast-Setting Wood Adhesive for Rapid Assembly.
Kenlac® Express PVA is a high-performance Polyvinyl Acetate adhesive designed for professional joinery and furniture manufacturing. Engineered for speed, it offers a shorter clamping time than standard wood glues, allowing workshops to assemble components faster and free up clamps for the next job.
It provides an exceptionally strong bond that, once cured, is often stronger than the wood itself. It applies white for easy visibility but dries to a transparent, clear finish that won’t leave visible glue lines on light-colored timbers. It is water-based, non-toxic, and ideal for bonding softwoods, hardwoods, chipboard, and MDF.
Key Features:
-
Rapid Set: Reduced clamping time (30–60 mins) speeds up workflow.
-
Dries Clear: Invisible glue lines for a seamless professional finish.
-
Superior Strength: Cross-linking polymer creates a bond stronger than the wood grain.
-
Non-Staining: Safe for use on sensitive veneers and light woods like Cypress.

1. Surface Preparation Ensure surfaces to be bonded are clean, dry, and free from oil or grease.
-
Fit: The joint should be tight-fitting. PVA is not a gap-filler; it relies on close contact between wood fibers.
2. Application
-
Spreading: Apply a thin, even bead of glue to one surface (or both for hardwoods/end grain). Spread with a brush, roller, or plastic spreader.
-
Quantity: Use enough glue so that a small amount of “squeeze-out” appears when clamped.
3. Assembly & Clamping
-
Time: Assemble parts while the glue is still wet (within 5-10 minutes).
-
Pressure: Clamp firmly. Do not over-tighten to the point of starving the joint, but ensure there are no gaps.
-
Duration: Keep clamped for at least 30-60 minutes.
4. Cleanup
-
Wet Glue: Wipe away excess squeeze-out immediately with a damp cloth.
-
Dry Glue: Scrape or sand off.
5. Tips for Best Results
-
Do not use below 10°C (the glue will turn chalky white).
-
For oily woods (like Teak), wipe the surface with Kenlac Standard Thinner before gluing to remove natural oils.
