1. Automotive Lighting (Headlamps/Taillights)
-
Problem: Condensation or water leaks in the lens assembly.
-
Solution: Clean the housing groove. Apply a thin bead of Kenfix Clear RTV. Press the lens back into place. The clear seal ensures light output is not blocked and the repair looks factory-original.
2. Windscreen & Glass
-
Excellent for sealing small leaks around windscreen rubber seals or sunroof edges.
3. General Gasketing
-
Can be used for water pumps and thermostat housings where extreme heat (above 200°C) is not an issue.
-
Note: For high-heat engine components (Exhaust manifolds), use Kenfix Red. For high-torque areas (Diff covers), use Kenfix Grey.
4. Preparation
-
Remove old gasket material completely.
-
Degrease surface with alcohol or thinner.
-
Apply bead to one surface, circle all bolt holes, and assemble immediately. Hand-tighten bolts until silicone squeezes out, let dry for 1 hour, then torque to spec.
